Our Director

 We are excited to have Brian Tate as our Director.  Brian brings a range of experience as an award-winning composer, choir director, and educator. Brian received his Bachelors of Music from the University of British Columbia, and went on to further music studies in London and Toronto. His interest in music of the African Diaspora has taken him to Ghana, Cuba, and New Orleans. Brian's career includes orchestral and choral conducting and performing, musical theatre, and composing music for film, television, stage and the concert hall. While in Vancouver, he directed Vancouver’s Universal Gospel Choir and was the co-founder and director of the 100-voice City Soul Choir.

Brian currently teaches at the Canadian College of Performing Arts.
