Bio to come.
Kathy is passionate about music and has participated in many choirs. She currently sings and plays piano with Christian Rocks at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Victoria, and performs with her jazz trio, Kadabra. Kathy is a Professional Engineer and Doctor of Social Science, participates on multiple boards and is an award-winning educator in mechanical engineering. Kathy works with students, scholars and industry representatives around the globe to foster inclusion and social responsibility in the engineering profession.
Patricia started teaching piano at an early age and eventually received a licentiate diploma in performance. Patricia later became an elementary music educator (Orff trained). She directed school choirs and smaller community choirs. She’s always loved singing and has sung with choirs and jazz ensembles for many years in Alberta and BC. A few years ago she was lucky enough to participate in an international choir in Venice, Italy, and hopes to be able to combine travel with singing once again.
Laura grew up in Almonte, Ontario playing piano, percussion, singing in choirs and playing in many different bands. Through the University of Victoria's Prima Choir she met the founding members of VICC and has been singing with the group since 2011. Choir practice is one of the highlights of her week. She also loves riding her bike, being a wife and mother, and performing music and dance from Guinea, West Africa.
Nicola’s lifelong passion for music began in England with recorder classes in grade 2 (thank you Miss Sherriff!) and Conservatory piano after that. She was introduced to the joys of singing relatively later in life and loves the many goosebump moments that singing in the choir brings. When not practicing alto lines at home or in the car you’ll find Nicola pottering in her garden, working on her golf game or testing out new recipes in the kitchen.
