The Vancouver Island Chamber Choir is offering a day-long workshop intensive open to a wide range of choral conductors from music educators, church choir conductors community choir conductors and beyond. Led by the choir’s music director, Brian Tate, participants will work with the chamber choir using repertoire in a variety of styles and periods on topics such as leading an effective rehearsal, use of gestures, creating a safe and welcoming space and elements of vocal technique.
The workshop will take place on Friday evening May 3, 2024 and all day Saturday May 4, 2024.
The choir is accepting up to five participants plus a limited number of observers.
