The VICC performs in a number of venues during the fall and spring. Some on their own and others in collaboration with community groups and choirs. Check out some of our past and upcoming concerts.
We are currently auditioning. The VICC has a solid core of singers but members do, periodically, move on.
" Loved it!! I loved the whole thing - start to finish. I thought the ensemble was very tight, and everyone can clearly sing! And I really enjoyed Brian Tate - loved his energy and humble, genuine enthusiasm. You did some really cool pieces and everyone looked like they were having a blast!"
"We came down from Gabriola for a weekend in the 'big city' and had tickets to the Comfort & Joy concert Dec 3. (I spotted the event on a listing a few weeks ago.) I'm writing to express our deepest thanks for one of the best choral performances in many years. It was deeply moving. You all have a wonderful gift of sincere and joyful expression through song. Your love and talent of craft and material shows in spades! Thank you, thank you for sharing your gifts with us!"
"Thank you and the choir for a wonderful performance today in the rotunda of the Legislative Building. The acoustics were excellent. Please pass on the message to the singers that they did such a super job. It was very moving to hear you sing outside the rotunda and then to walk in. It was very special and I really enjoyed your varied program. Thank you also for giving a brief background to the music we heard. What a joy to hear the singing and start to the holiday season!"
"Bravo Brian Tate and the Vancouver Island Chamber Choir! You outdid yourself with your season repertoire this year. The diction and tonal balance were spectacular. We especially loved the Renaissance masterpieces and the African spirituals. We can't wait for your performances in 2023 and hope that performing in the rotunda at the legislature will become an annual tradition."
